Launching LumenRT

LumenRT can be launched for interactive authoring or viewing by any of the following three methods:
  • Double-clicking the main LumenRT.exe application icon - Double-click the LumenRT application shortcut icon to launch LumenRT in interactive authoring mode.
  • Double-clicking a LiveCube file icon - A LiveCube file with the extension .lrt will launch LumenRT when double-clicked. LiveCubes files are located in your Documents/Bentley/LumenRT folder.
  • Exporting from a CAD/CG/GIS system - If using a supported CAD/CG/GIS system, users can directly export models using the LumenRT export plugins. The export plugins for all supported CAD systems are automatically installed during LumenRT installation.
LumenRT export plugins work natively inside the CAD/CG/GIS system and perform the following functions:
  • Export model geometries
  • Add LumenRT proxy content such as plants, characters, and vehicles
  • Export lights directly into LumenRT
  • Map materials from the CAD/CG/GIS system into LumenRT materials
  • Export BIM and attribute information
  • Export layers
  • Export animation paths
